Uniroyal brand tires is unaffected by the recent Chapter 11 filing of Uniroyal Holding Inc. The news has no impact on the manufacture, distribution, availability, warranty support or sale of Uniroyal brand tires.
The Uniroyal tire brand marketed and sold today is owned by the Michelin Group and continues to operate normally. The bankruptcy protection filing involves Uniroyal Holding Inc., which is not an operating tire manufacturer; it is a legacy corporate entity that managed historical liabilities and retiree obligations for many years.
“We are aware of news reports regarding Uniroyal Holding Inc.,” said Carmel Novak, Uniroyal Brand Director. “We want to reassure our dealer partners that this entity is entirely separate from the Uniroyal tire brand owned by Michelin. The Uniroyal tire business continues uninterrupted. Dealers and consumers can remain confident in the continued availability and support of Uniroyal products.”
