UNIROYAL Announces Voluntary Safety Recall for Commercial Laredo HD/H tires.

UNIROYAL is voluntarily recalling two sizes of its UNIROYAL Laredo HD/H replacement tires. These tires are typically found on commercial light trucks and full-sized heavy duty vans, although it is possible that consumers have purchased these replacement tires for their personal vehicles as well.

  • The tires were produced between April 2010 and the end of July 2012.
  • Sizes are: LT 235/85 R16 120 Q LRE and LT 245/75 R16 120 Q LRE
  • Approximately 800,000 replacement tires are affected.
  • Affected tires may exhibit tread loss and/or rapid air loss, resulting from tread belt separation.

UNIROYAL recommends removal of these tires as soon as possible. The removed tires will be replaced with a similar product free of charge.

To return and replace these tires at no cost, please visit your UNIROYAL dealer for assistance. To locate a UNIROYAL dealer, click on the link below.

Where to Find Your Tire DOT Code (standard DOT code example)

While the most recent Uniroyal tire recalls are shown above, the Rubber Manufacturers Association now offers the ability to search their database to determine if your tires have been recalled. Uniroyal supports this program, which is available through the link below. You will need the Tire Information Number from the sidewall of each tire on your vehicle to search their database.
