UNIROYAL TIRE KICKS OFF SECOND “WIN A FREE SOCCER SEASON SWEEPSTAKES”
Tire Brand Gives Away Free Tires, Gas and Automotive Services to Support Youth Soccer GREENVILLE, S.C.—(Aug. 01, 2007)— For the second year, Uniroyal Tire is sponsoring the “Win a Free Soccer Season Sweepstakes,” giving away a grand prize including a set of tires, gas cards, automotive services and free soccer registration to one lucky soccer family. The grand prize winner’s youth soccer league will also receive $1,000 for scholarships and equipment for the 2008 season. In addition, four monthly first prize winners will win $500 to help cover gas costs. Soccer parents can register monthly at www.uniroyal.com/sweeps from Aug. 1, 2007 to Nov. 30, 2007 to be eligible for the monthly first prize drawings to win $500 in gas cards for the 2008 fall soccer season. Uniroyal will select the grand prize winner in December 2007 in a separate, random drawing from all entries received throughout the promotional period. “We are pleased to support Uniroyal’s youth soccer program through our ‘Win a Free Soccer Season Sweepstakes,’ said Kaz Holley, Uniroyal brand marketing director. “Every participating Uniroyal Tire dealer will have its name featured on a banner ad for the sweepstakes found on their local soccer league’s Web site.” The sweepstakes is an extension of the Uniroyal Soccer Program, in which local tire dealers partner with youth soccer leagues, and each member of the participating leagues receives a certificate for a free soccer ball that they can redeem at their local Uniroyal dealers. The sweepstakes creates added exposure for the tire dealers and promotes Uniroyal’s support of youth soccer. In addition, Uniroyal and its dealers partner for fundraising efforts to support local youth soccer leagues.
